BI 496G
Plant Microbe Biology
This course will focus on the understanding of economically important crop diseases in Canada such as soybean, wheat, canola, corn, barley, etc. The course will cover crop disease situations, disease development, plant-pathogen interaction, fungicide and fungicide resistance, disease breeding, disease forecasting, integrated pest management, advanced molecular biotechnology application in disease control to reduce yield loss and protect our food security.
Prerequisites: BI266 and BI276.
